if you are a dependent student, you would need to include the tax return of the parents who you have received the most aid. so, you would have to use your step father’s information along with your mothers as well. if they are married they should be filing their taxes together as most do. if for some reason they file separately, you can just give your mother’s information.

you are an independent student if: you are 23+, married, have a dependent child, are a ward of the state, enlisted in the military, or are studying at the graduate level. if one of those statements are correct, you are considered independent and can use just your tax return information. if none are true, though, you are dependent and need your parents’ information, which would include your step father. where you live has nothing to do with your financial aid dependency. good luck!

i think you would be able to desire to settle consisting of your doorstep dad. Your actual dad could be your organic and organic father yet he’s not anymore the dad you like now especially once you’re transforming into up. you at the instant are not betraying or something. you purely could desire to make a call in kin count like the could desire to have a dad. you could particularly draw close out consisting of your actual dad nevertheless. the affection, the sensation and the style of courting do not replace purely the reality that who’re you staying with.
