try to see if your school lets you do a deferred payment where you do not have to pay the whole amount right away. that way you have time to get the money. what i did to help me pay for college is tried getting a part time job with VERY flexible hours. it helped a little to pay for books and some tuition. did you try FAFSA? and you can also try this website.

Well, I would try to find a work study program or apply for a college access loan (you do not have to have a co-signer as long as you have a job). A part-time job will help to buy books and school supplies… I suggest buying books off of Amazon.com a semester ahead of time (instead of the campus bookstore). If you really don’t have that much money you should consider staying at home and commuting to school. On campus housing and meal plans are costly and the money could be spent elsewhere.

How much should you pay? Well, it’s your education, so technically, you should pay for it all if you have no other options. Depending on how much rent your parents are going to charge, and how much they expect you to contribute, I would just move out and have own place to come and go with more privacy. Honestly, these are types of questions that only you can answer. I mean, if you get your degree, and can afford to move on your own, then by all means do it. Just, if your still pursuing your education, staying with your family untill your done or at least to a point where you have a great job or career might be a better option.

There are many scholarships given out by government and other organisations every year. You can try for some online government scholarships or grants. Fill up online forms and see if you are selected for the scholarship.

For one, if your family has little money, why would you get into an expensive school when there’s no ability to get loans or pay for stuff? Scholarships are great if you can get them, but what if you can’t?

In-state students pay 33% of what out-of-state students pay… I couldn’t go to Clemson when I was accepted because tuition would have been $20,000…

You can apply for financial aid. It’s free money from the government. If you don’t qualify for financial aid, you can apply for student loans from the school you’re going to. For both of these programs, the school will check to see if you’re a full-time student and whether your grades or satisfactory.

Part-time jobs should take care of the remaining $10,000.00 each. Most college students work part time to subsidize their education costs, if they are smart. This is much better then getting hung with a large bill later.

You could go to the state school in whatever state you live in. State universities offer discounts to students who have lived in the state for more than a few years. State schools are a good option, especially if you are worried about cash.

Community College for the first two years would help alot!
