I think some people who use this sight are not english – speaking, some are using computer lingo or other slang or abbreviations, some may have problems with spelling and grammar, but most can be understood. So what’s the problem? Yahoo Answers is not an academic site. If questions or answers can not be understood, responses are not mandatory.

Must not. They may be foreign, dyslexic, trying to start up a new text-speak language to ‘take over’ correct grammar (grammar is difficult, man! er, miss), or combining idioms AND text-speak.
Still, too bad they don’t do the grammar right for questions on this site, as they may get fewer answers due to people being unable to translate.

I know, if you want someone to give you an answer the least you can do is spell the question properly. I wouldn’t mind but there’s even a spellchecker on this thing. Damn kids

Maybe hooked on phonics “werked 4 them”??? That and kids today are taught in school to spell as it sounds, whether that is correct or not. Sad, but true.
Or maybe they didn’t have spell-check turned on on their computer??
Obviously they don’t realize how ignorant that makes them appear.

it’s because everyone who answered and asked this question grew up in a time where there was one phone, no computer, and *gasp* maybe a black and white tv if there was one at all.
