¿Where comes the Expression “God Damn You Son”?
Hi Am new at this comunity of yahoo answers, i now since i was little i learn english, am from MONTERREY MEXICO, and in the movies or in the show or jokes, that i watch, from the satelite, when the man of the house get mad… hi always says “god dam you son” that prase, where start?..

it’s a blasphemous statement (pronounced blass feem us) it originated in the 16-17th century in England when cries from the pulpit were made to “We ask God, to damn the Spanish”) through modern usage we now use the expression to “Goddamn” anything we disagree with or find unsuitable .. in fact what is being asked is for “God to cast into the pits of hell and damnation” those things
