I have homework and one of my questions says……Does the title offer a meaning or significance?

The difference between meaning and significance is like the difference between a word and a symbol. The word has a precise meaning. The symbol stands for something and can actually be more powerful than some words. For example, the word cross means two intersecting lines. But The Cross has a great deal more significance.

ok, think of ideas as bits of information, “memes” some people call them, they travel through society and time and culture and history, a musical note, the letter M, or whatevr are all memes
if people like em and can relate they keep em and pass em on, also depends on who has money and wins the wars sometimes, yet they are interesting

it’s actually the same, it depends on the context of the sentence, but meaning it’s also for importance, and significance, not so much
