Operant conditioning is the use of consequences to modify the occurrence and form of behavior. Operant conditioning deals with the modification of “voluntary behavior” through the use of consequences.

The first sensory system is vision, marketers always required visual element to attract consumer attention through a products color, size and styling. As color can influence our emotions more directly. For example, Kodak¡¦s mainly use red and yellow to represent the camera film and audience will think about Kodak when see these colors.

Second is smell, and marketers will use the smell to create special feeling to the consumer. For example, the testing papers of perfume attached to magazine. It can make a perception to people. Third is sound, some advertising sound can leave the audience a depress feeling such as the coca cola music, it always give people feel happy when listening to the advertising music and this help consumer more easy to remember the brand. Then, it is touch, at many times, men like rough touch feeling while women want a smooth touch feeling. For instance, Afontance Company will show the displays on the exhibition, it can let the consumers feel their product as pillow and bed. And the last one is taste, as consumer will change their taste overtime and the example is that there are cooking booths in the supermarkets for the consumer to try and give their opinion.
