“Warm” means that someone is listening and has the ability to make you feel really comfortable to express yourself without feeling judged. It’s a good thing.

i think it can mean arguments,when someone is telling of somebody,with hot or angry words,expressing there worries and concerns towards them.wanting that person to improve in some way.there not happy with the way there living their life.like between a mother and son sort of thing.

To me it means you have a courteous and engaging conversation with someone. It’s friendly, but it’s not just “small talk.” There is more substance to it than that.

Some sales people use this expression also in reference to
“chatting someone up” about their product….Mary Kay, Amway, Mellaluka etc. I’m not sure this is the correct usage of this term but I have heard people who sell these products use the term in this manner. (It’s really quite annoying)
