Well, in the first part of the song, the guy is saying that he actually enjoys the experience and the aftermath of losing his mind. Middle of the song, he’s just saying be careful, because you might not be as in control of your own craziness as you think you are, ie, it can strike anyone, even you. The end of the song, people he looked up to lived life on the edge and really lived crazy lives, so he’s saying it’s no coincidence, I’ve looked up to these crazy people and now I’m crazy too.
