What are some other names for a car .. like a “whip” ?? Seriously.?
Favorite Answer
Shelby, Aurora, Lincoln and Cooper are all fully legitimate names that stem back at least a full century, if not more, depending on the names individually. But having them recently be associated with cars has not dulled their sophistication any, due to the fact that they are sturdy classical names. Avalon, on the other hand, is plain unattractive but even it can be traced right back to the ancient Arthurian legends, so it’s certainly not lower-class. That aside, Bentley is a surname and was largely extinct for people until just a few years ago, when an airhead off of the “trashy” telly show “Teen Mom” saddled said monstrosity onto her poor son, which is probably why it has come to be seen in such a negative light. Not only that but, Bentley? Seriously? Out of all the “-ley” boy names; Aberly, Linley, Everley, Ashley, Waverley, Wiley etc. people willing choose, and still do choose, Bentley? It’s NOT an attractive name and I find it partly amusing and partly shameful that so many people would adamantly refuse to name their sons Paris or Riley nowadays because they’re “gay” names, but would happily name their accursed offspring BENT-ley! Oh, the irony. In short – Bentley is an ugly name that is generally only popular with lower-class people, hence the “trashy” association.
