It’s because they spell it as they hear it rather than thinking of ‘does’ as part of the verb ‘to do’.

most of the time people are in a hurry and spell the way it sounds…sometimes it is due to illiteracy…sometimes it is due to being lazy and not spell checking

Well, if it’s in writing, i believe it has more to do with phonetic (or what they think is phonetic) spelling. If it’s in typing, I think it has more to do with typos as you attempt to type at a faster speed and not going over your work to see if you’ve misspelled anything. 🙂
