Should i capitalize grandma?
If i’m saying something like..
I really enjoy doing this because I get to spend time with some of my family. I never really get to see my Aunt Connie or my Grandma so this gives me a chance to be with them.
is that right? or..

Not in that way, no. If you said something like, I told Grandma, then yeah, you would capitalize it. But you’re using it there as a noun, not a proper noun.

No, because you’re not using it as a proper noun. Think of it this way, if you replaced “grandma” with “brother” or “teacher” or “dog” you wouldn’t capitalize any of those words, so you don’t capitalize here either.

It can be either or. The time when you would have to capitalize Grandma would be when you are addressing her in speech, like, “Grandma, please come over!”

Because in the way your using them the names become a Noun.Therefore they need a Capital.You could alternatively say- Holidays give me the opportunity to see my aunts, and especially Connie, and I like to see gran as well.

If you’re using it as a name, you capitalize it. example: My aunt took me to the park. My Aunt Connie took me to the park.

If you say “my, your, or our” before it, use a lower case grandma. If it’s “Grandma did this” or “I miss Grandma” you capitolize it.
