A euphemism is a more polite word or term that is used in place of a more offensive term, such as saying “sleeping together” instead of “having sex” or the F word.

A cliche is a catchy phrase such as “eight days a week” or “damned if you do, damned if you don’t”.

A cliché (from French, klɪ’ʃe) is a phrase, expression, or idea that has been overused to the point of losing its intended force or novelty, especially when at some time it was considered distinctively forceful or novel. The term is generally used in a negative context.

Euphemism(without a second “i”) is the substitution of an agreeable or inoffensive expression for one that may offend or suggest something unpleasant to the listener; or in the case of doublespeak, to make it less troublesome for the speaker

lame → crippled → handicapped → disabled → differently abled

A cliche is a repeated phrase, that is used to define, describe , explain etc., a particular thought that someone at some previous time said, and became popular, so repeated, by others. A catchy saying.

A euphemisim is to use a subtle word or phrase, versus one more direct.

A cliché (from French, klɪ’ʃe) is a phrase, expression, or idea that has been overused to the point of losing its intended force or novelty, especially when at some time it was considered distinctively forceful or novel. The term is generally used in a negative context. For example some lecturers used to say repeatedly “Did you get my point….” etc.

Where as Euphemism is a less directed word that is used instead of a harsh or blunt word when referring to something unpleasent or embarrassing.

A cliche is a phrase that has been used so many times that it has lost its originality and sometimes its original meaning (i.e. – “killing 2 birds with one stone” or “a chain is only as strong as its weakest link”). A euphemism is a subtle phrase that is used in place of a harsh phrase (i.e. – “She passed away” instead of “She died” or “pre-owned vehicle” instead of “used car”).

a cliche is a stale, old answer, sterotyped through frequent repetition (The first one that comes to mind is “duh”.)

An euphemism is a way of saying something to make it sound less harsh than the term usually used. (exp: usual term–old people / euphenism–senior citizens) The dictionary says “The substitution of an inoffensive term for one considered offensively explicit.”

Cliche is a phrase or a term that is used frequently. Something euphemistic is something said for the sake of saying it. Something like for propaganda purposes.
