It’s sort of a bad word. It’s better than ‘F***’ or ‘Sh**’ but it’s sort of bad anyway.

You would be considered somewhat crass and undignified if you were to use this word. It was a word I was not allowed to say, among others, when I was growing up. It is not considered to be a swear word, but it is just not good taste to use it.
