Is changing your name a way to change how people view you?

I was thinking of changing my name to an action verb or adjective like “Flying”,”Stormy”, or “Capture”

Some times, we don’t have a say when parents name their kids . I feel sorry for those kids with messed up names.

It is really up to you but if you’re going to change your name legally, it can be a hassle. Also think about it before making your decision or you’ll go through this again down the road. Is this a phase or a youthful whim?

Also a name may say some thing about who you are but your personality and actions can tell more about some one’s character.

I suppose so, but a legal name change involves a lot of hassle just to change how people view you. If you are changing to actions that reflect who you are, people around you probably already know that. Maybe you could try…

changing how you dress,

changing how you view others,

changing what you spend time doing

changing jobs,

changing where you live,

changing the color of your room,

changing what you read or watch,

write and try to get published–that would really affect how people view you.

But make it a good one, or your image change may go south

Not really. When some people learned you legally changed your first name they automatically assume you must have been a criminal….or insane…
