In English what is the difference between HOUSE and HOME?Thanks in advance?
Favorite Answer
A home is another story entirely. A home is the place where you feel most at peace. It can be someone else’s property (like a friends house), a chair, store, restaurant or person. It is where you go when all else fails. It’s a sanctuary for your soul. It can be a good friend or a city. A home is something you define as a person. It is whatever you want it to be.
A house is not a human need, but a home is. Homeless people do not have houses, but they still are driven to create some semblance of a place to belong.
A home is not always a house (could be a cave or a cardboard box). A house is not always a home (people who live with others against their wishes will not consider their house to be “home).
Hope this answers your question. I teach this topic to 7th graders in FCS.
God Bless.
