I am writing a comparative essay on 2 books. I am wondering if this sentence looks right!!?
HERE IS THE SENTENCE:
Both novels center around the main characters’ journey.
OR… IS THIS RIGHT?!
Both novels center around the main characters journey.
HELP! WHICH SENTENCE IS RIGHT? OR ARE THEY BOTH WRONG?

Both novels center around the main character’s journey. or Each book centers around the main characters’ journeys. Both are grammatically correct, but the first is less awkward. Hope that helped.

The first one is right but I would use the word focus instead of center.

I would throw out that sentence altogether. Of course it follows the main character….that’s WHY they’re the main character.

Sorry about your parents. I would look up the books online, maybe wikipedia. Use that info to write your own comparison.
