Hi Sam, A third wheel is when you are out with someone like a date and you have 1 person who tags along with you 2. That’s the only way I know how to describe it to you. Hope this helps. Lol

I’ve heard the expressions “third wheel” and “fifth wheel”.
Both mean the same thing.
Slang for an unwelcome person:
third wheel, fifth wheel, excess baggage, wet blanket, party pooper.
