Nearly everything that ends in ‘ise’ seems to end with ‘ize’ , also there are a lot of double LL’s where we would have single Ls.

I’ve also noticed tyroid is spelt differently, as well as learnt is learned!

But never mind the spellings, what about the words themselves

Fringes are bangs

Bags are purses

CVs are resumes

Bonnets are Hoods

Boots are Trunks

Petrol is Gas

pavements are sidewalks

the list is endless!

Practically all the american language is pronounced and spelt Phonetically. That is they are spelt the way they sound.Yes there must be heaps. Colour-Color Centre -Center, Favour-favor , as you see these are just some I can think of.
