You will certainly miss out. I’ve seen both sides – people who don’t go away and people who do – and the people who do go through a lot of personal growth. It won’t affect your social life, per se, but going away to college will open you up to experiences your brother never even thought existed, so yes, you should go away to college, at least try it.

The only thing you will miss out on in my opinion is bad food, noisy roomates, and distractions. You can get just as much social experiences and way more time to concentrate on school work (which is the reason you are going in the first place) if you stay with your parents. Also, your parents will enjoy not having to pay for the dorms or meal plans.

I live with my parents all thru college, I didn’t miss out on anything… As long as I did good in class, my parents didn’t care what I did. I started when I was 16… Got really wild when I was about 18 or 19. They know what it’s like and won’t mind as long as you get your stuff done. Plus you don’t have to worry about bills and that stuff, and you still get home cooked meals ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy it while you can ๐Ÿ™‚

you should move out. live in the dorms. its the best place to live during college. if u live with your parents you will always be under their rules, if u live on campus, you’re free to do pretty much whatever you want. you can come home as late (or early) as you want, or not even come at all. and even if its just for a year, you can at least say u tried it. remember, you can always come back, but you can never know what could have been.

well, i lived at home while i went to college, and i really feel like i missed out on a lot. i think it’s better to live in the dorms, at least for the first two years.

Miss out on what?

You’ve got it made if you stay at home while attending a university. You get to have all the fun of college life without the headache of possibly annoying, smelly, dirty, and inconsiderate, roommates. Plus, you get home cooked meals and a place to do your laundry.

yes you will miss out. you should live in the dorms. its much more fun. you always have people around you, and the facilities are close.

if you dont like it you can always go back home…
