usually most engineering freshman find there first engineering class, a programming class, hard. it is usually made extra hard to weed out those who are not serious, but it depends on the professor

There’s no such thing as a hard course freshman year as an engineering major.

It’s all pretty much a repeat of high school courses.
I know some people whose Humanities classes were actually their hardest course freshmen year.
Watch out for P-chem and O-chem later on, though!
