Which University in Illinios for Computer Science.?
So I decided im going to major in computer science. I have to choices of universities. Throughout high school I averaged a 3.0 gpa. I also got a 21 on my act. I would like to attend University of Illinois at Chicago or University of Chicago, but im open to any other suggestions. I decided not to apply at Urbana-Champagne because I don’t stand a chance in getting in. I have visited both colleges and I have to say I like University of Chicago better than University of Illinois. Do you guys think I can get into eighter of these schools with my act and gpa? Also which has a better program for computer science.

I went to the U of Chicago. It’s one of the most selective universities in the country, and far more so than the U of Illinois. With those grades you don’t have a chance, sorry to say.
Are you sure you can’t get in UIUC? They have an excellent Computer Science and Computer Engineering department. You certainly should apply there.
If you don’t get in UIUC, then UIC is your only chance. Apply to both of them. You might start at UIC and if you do well, transfer to UIUC after a year or two. You won’t get into the real meat of the CS courses until your third year anyway.

university of chicago does not offer computer science according to me research. however, university of illinois – chicago does and it seems like a better match for your grades and act score:
middle 50% on act is 21-26
