You can’t answer that question . What does “best” mean to you? You need to specify what you want. The “best” research oriented programs are not going to be the best practice oriented programs. Some schools are “best” in a particular division such as clinical vs. developmental vs. cognitive. What type of degree do you want? You need to figure out what you are interested in before you can even begin to contemplate looking for graduate programs. Good luck!

The cheapest. What is it that you are trying to do with your degree? Im married to a Psychologist (Doctoral level), and let me tell you, most dont make a whole lot of $$. Master’s degree makes even less. And quite frankly, it doesnt matter a whole lot where you get your degree from- the VA (and most state hospitals, hospitals, etc) will hire you no matter what school you go to, as long as it was APA accredited and as long as your internship is APA as well. And if you are going into private practice, then it matters even less, because as long as you can pass your state board’s licensure requirements, then all your degree is, is a piece of paper hanging on your office wall that allowed you to get your license. So, given the relatively low pay, the lack of it mattering what school you go to, etc, that is why I suggest going to the cheapest APA accredited school you can get into.
