It actually depends where you are willing to go and how you “work” the degree. In my opinion, I would say computer science.

You are right it is not suppose to be about the money, and the people who make the most money (outside of financial) do not enter their respective careers with money as the primary object. Almost any career path can be lucrative, what matters is how far are you willing take it. Do have a particular set of skills that is linked to a career? or a life long passion that you can turn into something financially rewarding? Those are the types of questions one should ask when inquiring about potential job prospects. If you have a natural gift for photography, and enjoy taking pictures then you should major in photography and become a photographer. A really good photographer who enjoys their work will be far more successful (financially and otherwise) than an accountant who hates their job.
