What should I wear for a college tour?

Tomorrow I’m gonna go on a tour to UNT (University of North Texas) and I was wondering what would be the appropriate clothing to wear.

Go casual, comfortable, and appropriate. You’ll be doing a lot of walking and it has been raining non-stop in Denton. So maybe some capris that won’t touch the ground would be good, along with some sneakers. Some long pants tucked into cute wellies (rain boats) would look very cute too! Leave the shorts and tank for another day.

It’s a tour so more than likely you won’t be meeting any professors but you might meet someone from housing. You want to come across as a serious student.

Have fun, ask a lot of questions, and make sure to visit the UNT bookstore for some cool UNT merchandise. Hopefully, you choose UNT! We’re a great school!

Comfortable footwear! People don’t realize how much walking you will do on a campus and it isn’t cool to be limping with blisters halfway through the tour.

Wear shoes with good support. Also maybe shoes or sandals that are okay for wet conditions since parts of Texas are about floating away right now. Other than that, just casual but not sloppy or skimpy is fine.

Consider bringing an umbrella just in case. It isn’t much fun to look or feel like a drowned rat.

I would wear something casual. Don’t wear a pair of ratty shorts and a tank top. Dress the way you would if you were going to the mall.

I agree with the above posters: be comfortable. You don’t have to dress up, but make sure you’re dressed respectfully (no tank tops or bared midriffs, no super-short shorts).

Have fun. Go Mean Green!

Whatever you want. Something comfortable and not heavy, since it’s probably really hot there. You most likely won’t be meeting anyone who has any say in whether or not you get in.
