Where is the UK’s best University to study topics related to Computing?

I have always wondered, with there being other universities around the country that specilise in areas such as Performing arts and Sports, is there one that is well known for being outstanding for IT or a specialist in IT? As this is what I am interested in entering later in life.

The only university in the UK with a really strong focus on science and engineering is Imperial College, and even there, they offer all branches of science and engineering. There are also a few other comprehensive universities (esp. Southampton) where you can do anything, but which are much better known and respected for their science and engineering programs than for anything else they do.
