Yes you can go to a local comm college or university or even your high school. Teachers from all these placs would be glad to look at your essays. In high school I went to a local university’s library and asked if there were any teachers that could look over my essay and they pointed me in the right direction or you could even ask your high school teacher (theyve been to college too) to review it. I am guessing that this is an essay to get you into a college. You could try a local college 2 year and see if they have a writing center. They will work with what you have and make the suggestions you need to make it a better more professional sounding one. They do not do the work but will lead you to where you need to go and offer suggestions on what will make it better. You could ask some adults. People that have already gone through the college routine. Try asking some friends, to see what they did, if you want, try calling some adults that you know, and can probably trust for some helpful information. If you have any other information of what is needed and might need to be included in the essay, try using those. I wouldn’t personally want a to over do an essay paper, because it ruins the point that you’re trying to make. Try keeping it simple, but whatever you do, ask someone that you believe will or might help, before you turn it in.

You could Google copywriting/editing. There are sites that will look at your writing and edit it for you, often by college professors trying to earn extra money. Of course, you’ll have to pay for that. I suppose you could go to a local college’s English Department and ask someone to do it. It’s worth a shot if you don’t want to pay for it and you’d like some local feedback. All they can say is “no.” Many high school and even elementary teachers could do this, too. Before I went into teaching in elementary schools, I was in journalism and I have my undergraduate degree in that, so don’t overlook them.
