After you complete the online portion of the application, look for a checklist (the online application should automatically prompt one). If this doesn’t happen, call the school directly. The admission staff will be able to tell you what additional pieces they need from you and when they need them by. In most cases, if you have an official copy of your transcript (in a sealed envelope from your high school) you can send them in at any time and they will hold that until all of the pieces of your application have been received. If you indicated for the SAT Board to send in your test scores, they will be sent to the school automatically – if you didn’t indicate a particular school, ask your high school counseling center to send in a copy (it should be considered official if it comes directly from the high school).

The next step would be to secure letters of recommendation. Be sure to giver your recommendors plenty of time (let them know when you want the letter sent by). Also provide them with addressed and stamped envelopes so they can just drop the letters in the mail – this is the most “official” way to do this, and your recommendors will appreciate it.

Send them before the deadline.

You do not send them. You pay ETS to send your SAT scores (you get a few for free — and specify them when you sign up to take the exam). You have to ask your High School will send your transcripts to the college.

You need to ask your school to send your transcripts, and the College Board to send your SAT scores. Do it as soon as you decide where you’re applying.

Usually when you apply to a college they will ask for SAT scores right away and ask for your current GPA. When you graduate from High School is usually when they will ask for a transcript.

In my school, my advisors sent out all the transcripts and SAT scores. I just finish all the rest and hand it to my advisor and she took care of it.
