major in chemistry or biology as an undergrad, you will have to take general chem 1 and 2, organic chem 1 and 2, physics 1 and 2 and Biology/LIfe Science 1 and 2 as pre-requisits for admission into the professional (post-grad) school of pediatrics. You have to take the MCAT test. You will have to go to med school after graduating from undergrad and then specialize in pediatrics.

You have to get a Pre-Med acceptable Biology or Bio-Chemistry under gradaute degree (4 years)

Do 4 years of medical school (general Medicine)

1 Year internship

Then at least 2 years of Prediatrics Residency would be of help or you can go straigt into practise as as Associate in some firm that does Pediatrics.

But to be frank they might light to see at least 1-2 years Predatrics residency

It takes 4 years to get a Diploma and certification in Pediatrics. While that is not manditory, it looks good on the wall and on your Phone Book listing

Dr. Blah, Blah, MD, D-P, Board Certified Pediatrician

After 5 years and another test you can become

Dr. Blah, Blah, MD, D-P, F.A.C.P.M., Board Certified Pediatrician, Fellow of the American College of Pediatrical Medicine.

That gets you another $50 in initial visit fees!

With less than 4 year and the certification it would just be

Dr. Blah, Blah, MD, Sepecializing in Pediatrical Medicine.

I also want to go into the medical field, being a Biology major would more than likely give you the best preparation, but if you want to dovote most of your attention to the “required sciences” General Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (4 credits a semester, for 2 semesters a piece) Calculus, and Organic Chemistry (5 credits for each semester for a year). You can major in English, you just have to take those clases and excel. You should also have loads of community service, clinical exp., and strong reccomendations.

You would need to do undergrad that would prepare you for med school. Most med schools do not care what the major is as long as you have a year of bio, physical chem, organic chem, physics, and anatomy. Some good ones would be biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering.

you can major in any field, just as long as you take the required classes for medical school, Bio 1&2, Chem 1&2 Physics 1 & 2, and Calculus. Or you can major in Bio or Chem

easily you do no longer could get a level in biology. A biology covers all the standards for scientific college although. you may substantial in what ever you wish, yet you may additionally could take a minimum of two semesters of common chem w/lab, 2 semesters of organic and organic chem w/lab, 2 semesters of physics w/lab, bio instructions and probably data. attempt to maintain your GPA above a three.7 and there are various scientific colleges available. EDIT: there’s no “Pre-Med” substantial and a three.0 won’t get you into scientific college

You need to get an MD. Medical doctorate. You need to get a 4 year degree, in order to get into medical school. It doesn’t really matter in what.

HOWEVER, you mush pass the MCAT and take intro. courses in biology, chemistry, etc. Sometimes, they are pre-med degrees, which are pretty much a comprehensive degree to help you get into med school.

A lot people get degrees in biology. Then take the extra classes to help passes the MCAT.

After going to med. school for like 4 years, you must complete a residency for like another 3 years.
