also if there is a military base nearby, check there. usually there are night classes offered…

and don’t forget to see if there is a local community/junior college near you!

DeVry is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

DeVry does not meet the standards and licensing requirements in Alberta and New York State to function or advertise as a University. In these regions DeVry continues to operate as its former name DeVry Institute of Technology. In New York it is accredited as a college (similar to community college accreditation).

Kaplan University is also a private, for-profit, predominantly distance learning institution of higher learning that is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Although they are similar institutions, I’d go with Kaplan. It seems like a better choice in terms of accreditation and what is offered generally.
