I take it to mean subjects like English, history, economics, sociology, literature etc,

I ran a search under the term liberal arts. Copy and paste the URL into your browser.

Hi There…

I do believe that it would include the humanities, English, communication studies although some colleges allow you to include the “hard” sciences when creating your degree.

For instance, if you were doing a liberal studies degree, you might focus on communication and comparative literature or French and political science.

The idea of liberal studies is to allow you to create a program that will best prepare you for your interests. So my best advice is for you to decide two or three areas of study that fascinate and engage you and talk with your advisor to decide on the best way to incorporate those courses into your degree program.
