What should I do with my life?

What should I go to college for? What job should I pick?

I love nature and learning about anything that has to do with animals, plants, or bugs.

I am a science maniac that loves to read and learn about anything I can get my hands on.

I am very athletic and love to be outside most of the day.

I am wonderful with caring for animals and fascinated about their anatomy, though I can’t stand seeing hurt or sick animals.

I am willing to work hard to do what I like doing.

I’d like to do something that gives me plenty of time to start a family so I don’t have to work all the time, but I’d like a job that pays decent enough to sustain a family.

What should I do?

A conservationist maybe?

Park ranger?

See if you can work in a zoo or wildlife park.

The links below might give you some idea of what type of degree to go after — if you need one!

Be a zoologist. There are many great college for this, depending on where you want to live. You can specialize in bugs, mammals, birds, etc. They stay outside most of the time studying the animals. You don’t necessarily have to deal with the sick animals and the hours are normal 40 hour weeks. Although you may choose to travel to exotic places to study animals in there natural habitat. And there is great pay.

Your description sounds like you may be interested in Biology. You should major in Biology with a concentration in either Zoology or Botany. You can work with your local fish and game department, you can become a park ranger, you can be a zoologist studying different kind of animals and so on. The possibilties are endless.

well, start by possibly seeing a career counselor who might give you a test to see what career paths you might like…or just find things on the internet or the library about potential careers and majors…….

that’s great that you’re into science too, we’ll need you whatever field you decide to go into

so start exploring careers/majors…..oh! and if you can see if you can volunteer at places like the humane society or places working with animals to see if their are any occupations that might get your interest…

Go to school and start with general courses and find out what you are good at. While you are taking the general subject will give you time to find out what you would like to do.

your parameters are too tight.

Why not just take your first two years of college at a community college and choose something basic, then transfer that AA to a senior college. During that two years you can decide what you want to do after talking with advisors and students.
