What’s the difference in ACBSP & AACSB accreditation?

One’s called “Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs” and the other “Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.” Both accredit business schools, but what’s the real difference?

AACSB is considered the “gold standard” of Business School accreditation. Most big named schools are AACSB accredited.

ACBSP is a lesser accreditation. For example, they accredit University of Phoenix.

Realistically, the more important factor is the reputation of the program in the field and region that you plan to work in. So for example, if you wish to study accounting, what school is respected by accounting firms in your area?

Good luck!

from what I actual have found out an AACSB permitted MBA is plenty extra respected. regardless of the undeniable fact that, i won’t understand why, for the reason that maximum of crappy-*** state faculties carry this accreditation (U of Wisconsin-Whitewater, etc)
