if you choose criminology, again, you need to know what is your goal in this field? to be a police officer? a detective?

I would choose a major and a minor – both included. I believe psychology is included in criminology schooling, but to be a better candidate for the start of a career after college, i would minor in psychology and have multiple options.

also note that a percentage of students change their goals through out college.

Have you considered a bachelors in psych and a masters or speciality in criminology?

These links will give you more information on both to help you make a decision, but remember, if you’re not sure, you can always change your major in college and even if you get a degree in one and find yourself more interested in the other, you can always get a master’s degree in that one. You’ll most probably need a master’s degree in order to advance (as most of us in the sciences and social sciences need these days), particularly in psychology. Each of those fields are good backgrounds for a graduate degree in the other.
