I did not do Pure Science subjects like you but I know friends who have and are going to uni now to do medicine and dentistry courses. The minimum grades you need depends on the university you apply to. Check websites and request prospectuses from universities to get the definite details. In general, the top universities would want top grades. Most likely AAA-AAB. However, some unis offer lower requirements. My friend is doing medicine at the University of East Anglia and they ask for 280 UCAS points (BBC). There are even some universities who offer medicine courses for those without science A-levels. In this case, you do an extra ‘foundation year’ to get the basics needed at A-level. It may be possible to do this course if your A level results aren’t what you wanted. Please check websites of unis if you have regular access to the Internet. Some suggestions of unis for medicine: Kings College London, St George’s, University of East Anglia, UCL, Oxford and Cambridge. In London, there are universities that specialise in medical fields: The Institute of Cancer Research, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; The Royal Veterinary College, St George’s (medicine), and The School of Pharmacy. UCL even do a course in Embryology! Good luck!
