I depends on three main factors (Business school differs somewhat):

1. What grad degree at what school? A master’s in accounting at Illinois State might have lower requirements than #1 acct program at University of Texas, Austin

2. GPA – most decent grad schools do not accept below a 2.8 with good programs 3.0, and more selective programs 3.5

3. GRE (GMAT for business) – A high score will hit the spot and also could makeup for a lower GPA (such as a 610)

Make sure you check with not only the school you are looking at but the specific program for GPA / GRE averages. It is best to be near the middle by 10% for a good shot.

Most schools will require a 3.0 as a minimum. Also during graduate school you will typically need to maintain at least a 3.0 in the program to stay admitted, just as in undergrad you need to have a 2.0 minimum. It is pretty much the same idea that if you drop below the 3.0 you get put on academic probation and are given a semester to bring it up before you are academically dismissed.

Must have over a 3.0 and if you want to get into a good school it must be over a 3.5.
