waht is nyu looking for?
i have a b+ average so far from freshman and sophmore but hoping to get an a+ average in honors in english and in ap in history i will get ap in everything next year senior year. my electives are independent studies, and web design. in sports i am in varsity girl soccer for 2 years. and i am in junior (just started). also in model un for 3 years and in school newspaper.
next year my elective will be psycology,economics,criminal justice and trying out for softball.i am planning to go to duke’s t.i.p. and university of michigan lead program this summer. hopefully and i also volunteered in red cross for community service.
i want a person who went to to nyu to give me an idea of how i can get in. because it will help me alot

Two Thirds of those accepted were in the top 10% of their HS classes — and 100% were in the top half. Two thirds of those accepted had SAT scores of 1870 or better. The average GPA was 3.60. I suspect that the 3.6 is an unweighted score — and that most applicants have weighted scores over 4.0 — and take lots of AP and Honors classes.
They accept about a third of the students who apply.
If you can bring your average up a little, do well on your SAT score and remember to use spell-checker on your essays — you have a shot.
