If you get a BS you’ll end up taking more math and science classes or in general technical classes.

If you get a BA you’ll end up taking more classes in the Liberal Arts/Humanities areas such as English, Psychology, Philosophy, Art etc.

I don’t think it matters unless you want to go for something like investment banking or consulting. I think in that case, they want to see that you are strong in quantitative analysis, so the more math you’ve taken the better. Also, a company may be interested in whether or not you have a statistical background and know how to analyze data. If a BS provides you with that kind of knowledge, go for the BS. But if you want to go into advertising, sales, or marketing, a BA is just fine. Of course, if you want to get a masters or a doctorate in Economics, definitely go for the BS.

between any bachelor or arts and bachelor of science degree for the same subject, the main difference is in the amount of math you do. BS normally requires more math than BA
