It is a community college. State colleges have CSU then the college name, but saddleback is listed as a community or junior college. If you want to transfer to a UC, then you would want to go there rather than a Calstate, from experiance I know its hard to transfer to a UC, however going to a CSU for your education isn’t bad they are good schools.

UCR is good for psychology, and if you want to be a teacher, CSUF has one of the best programs.

They help you with what classes to take, and yes your first two years [ or how ever long it takes to get your ge is pretty much the same]

If your a senior I know how hard this time could be, look into what you can afford, if you are going to chose a community college OCC is the best, and if you are going to a CSU try fullerton or long beach, since they are great for teaching.

Saddleback is a community college. I don’t know about other colleges in the area, but saddleback’ll offer you decent opportunities for furthering your education in psycology. it doesn’t matter where you go the first two years as long as you go somewhere that offers you opportunities in your chosen field (the main problem with many community colleges is that they will only have one or two specialties, and it will be difficult to find good classes in other disciplines) and also somewhere that you’ll be able to transfer to a good state college from for your bachelor’s.

you can talk to advisors and fellow students at your school to determine what classes you should take, and often there are some basic classes that you should be taking during the first semester that should set your schedule until you can start deciding what to take for you chosen discipline for the next few semesters.
