What is a first division degree in USA? Is it acquiring 60% marks?
I am from india and here percentage system is prevailent and first division here means getting 60% or above.
Is it also the case with the US education system?
please answer in terms of GPA and also percentage.

Sorry, but we don’t have different divisions for degrees. 60% would be passing for most courses. We do have honors at graduation (*** laude, magna *** laude, and summa *** laude), which are determined by GPA, but there are no percentages.

In high school, a passing grade is usually 60% average.
In college and whatnot, you typically need 65 to 75%… depending on the school and the course
