what if i do not know my major in college?

I definitely wouldn’t choose a major out of spite. Do what is best for your future. Who cares about that jerk? You shouldn’t. 🙂
However, if you are unsure about college….dont go. You can always go later because if you go when you are not sure……this sets you up to fail because there is no heart involved. There are loads of good 18 month programs in allied health (X-ray tech, ultrasound sonographer) and once you are done the job market becomes your playground because they are in high demand all over the country, the pay is great 16-23 dollars an hour, and cadillac benefits.
If the pet shop is truly what you want to do and not just a bi-product of having to prove yourself to your ex then look into it. I dont think you would benefit a whole lot with an associates in business management or administration in regards to the pet shop. However, there are tons of factors that need to be considered that I have no idea about like: how big is your town/city, is it growing, projections, how many pet shops are there now, are the national chains or mom and pops, etc.)
You will make the right choice just remember to do it for you and not for the sake of a vision of the future with someone. Good luck.
First, there’s your goal of opening a business. Opening any retail business–especially one that involves live animals–is costly, risky, and time consuming. Unless you’re independently wealthy, you can’t “just open a pet shop.”
As for opening a pet shop just to get back at your ex-boyfriend. . . that’s not a way to start a career. That’s a way to go broke very quickly.
You do not need to know what you want to do with your life. You’re just starting out! You can take a variety of classes in a variety of subjects to figure out what really interests you before choosing a major.
When you say “just do this” or “just do that,” it sounds like you’re settling on something you’re not quite sure you want. Right now is not the time to settle. Right now is the time to explore, to mature, and to see what the world holds for you–and what you can offer the world. Immerse yourself in college life–meet interesting people, join some clubs, etc. The answers will come to you if you’re not so eagerly seeking them out.
Good luck.
It is good if you can narrow it down to a field or two, if you can get that narrow, then you will have a year or so, before you will begin losing classes when you switch majors. The most important thing is to talk with your college advisor. Let them know that your major is up in the air, and let them guide you to classes that will count for many majors.
It’s okay if you aren’t sure on what you want to study. Take your first year to take some core classes or even a wide range of things that interest you. See what you excel at or what you find really interesting, then decide on a major later on. A lot of schools have exploratory programs for college freshmen, you may want to check into that.
Best of luck, and remember, it’s not the end of the world if you don’t know what you want to major in. You’ll figure it out when you’re ready.
