Actually, it depends on your state’s regulations and what, exactly, you want to do. Do you want to be a Landscape Architect? Contact your local nurseries or state offices in order to find out what is necessary in your particular area. In PA, you need to go through specialized schooling and obtain a license from the state in order to practice.

Landscape architects help to design and plan areas such as golf courses, shopping centers, college campuses, public parks Residential and Commercial landscape design. Which one are you interested in? You need to find what your interest in and yes there are schools out there for this.. Do some research and be careful before you leap. Like anything else this cost money and you want to make sure you receive the right information for the price. You can go on line and under search enter degree in architecture or interior designing. Do you need one well lets put it this way. You will be responsibly for everything and you will be dealing with people and possibly contracts so you better know what your doing. Unless your speaking about just mowing lawns now that’s another subject but I will tell you something even doing that you need to know what you doing what tools you need and you will have to build a following.

In Massachusetts, you’d study landscape architecture at a university. These programs are usually found at the big state colleges, like UMass Amherst, as part of their schools of agriculture or the like.

Architecture and interior design are different fields of study, so those won’t be a good fit.

You need landscape architecture or landscape design, specifically.
