There are no credits needed in high school to go into medical school. All you need is a High School Diploma. But it would be a good idea to take a health class, which will teach you basic information about the body, home economics would be a good one, why?since hospitals(most of them anyway)are really clean and proper so it would be a good idea as for cleaning and organization.I will start high school in about two weeks and planning to go for a bachelors in nursing once out of high school. But theres always the time for me from know till graduation day to decide what I want to be.Hope this helped.

High school courses really don’t matter unless you could benefit from some class that takes you to the hospitals daily for experience. I had a health class in my freshman year, but I don’t know if all schools require that class. What would benefit you is to do some volunteer work at your local hospital or a nursing home to help you learn to deal with patients during difficult times. There’s nothing worse than getting a nurse with no empathy for his/her patients. Contact your school guidance counselor for more information on what schools you can attend in your area to become an RN.

I am a Registered Nurse for 5 years. i can guide you by my experience.

After my graduation, I went to community college. I made an appointment with a counselor. I received lists of courses needed for registered nurse. I Spent 2 years (full time) taking G.E courses. I also went to financial aid and applied for free grant. I got it for all 4 years. In my last semester of community college, I applied to 4 or 5 different community colleges which offered Registered nursing program.

There were people who told me to go to private college because they were fast way to get your nursing degree, but I am glad I went the other route. I don’t have any loans and I got my associate degree in RN. People who didn’t go this route, had to take heavy loans and struggled in nursing program because they couldn’t understand the material.

After becoming a registered nurse, I went back to a University for B.S in nursing and my hospital paid for all of my classes.

You can e-mail me. I will be happy to help you out or answer your doubts.

Good luck.

It’s courses in college not high school that you have to worry about.

After you graduate high school meet with a college counselor and they will tell you the class requirements you need to move towards your RN degree.
