most colleges and universities require some math, but offer a variety of math courses. i am absolutely horribel in math, particularly algebra. My major was criminal justice, and it required me to take Statistics, rather than algebra. I was able to get through stats with a B, so that worked out well. see what your major and college requires.

Every standard college degree will require you to not only have taken math in high school, but also to take certain math courses in college. Some majors require less math than others, but every college will require you to take at least one math class, possibly more. However, they often have a lot of assistance available for tutoring and etc., and they usually offer quite a few different types of math classes, so that will help.

Since I’m guessing that math isn’t your favorite subject, it’d pay for you to try to take it early, right up front, to both get it over with and to give yourself time to retake it, should things not work out in your favor.

While taking the math class, make sure that you don’t fall behind. Get a tutor if you need one – don’t be shy. Most schools offer tutors at very low cost, or for free.

Obviously, don’t major in anything related to science or technology, because those tend to be quite math-intensive. Business also tends to use a decent amount of math. You may do better majoring in English, or literature, or history, or communications, or acting, or… Lots of options, all having a minimum of math.

It depends more on the college than the major. Most humanities subjects will not require any math aside from what you need for core or distribution requirements. A small number of schools have no core or distribution requirements, but they do exist. Brown is famous for this, but I’m sure if you poke around you can find some more places.

sorry none. but you know what you can start with a lower math that you already took in high school .

I am bad at math. I always have been. but I liked doing it but I never understood the method in high school, anyway so after SAT’s I got placed in intermediate algebra. its like a mix of Algebra one and algebra 2. and I just got a 99 in my exam yesterday. ok I have never gotten a 99 on my math exam ever….. I was so happy.

So good luck

just practice, practice, practice.

Sorry but if you get any degree you have to take at least 2, 3 classes in math.

In short, you need pre-reqs because they are the basic form of studies for any course. You need the general idea before you begin to advance. Like HS, you didn’t learn basic algebra, then skipped to Calculus; there needs to some sort of incremental advancement in order to gain knowledge.

None that I know of. Any college degree has “core” classes that students have to take and pass – math and English especially! sorry
