What can you do with a philosphy degree?
Favorite Answer
There is a growing need for ethics consultants and you might find a niche by getting PhD in Media Psychology [see one such program at Fielding.edu].
My appraisal: there are many fields you can excel in, and put this major to work…it is mostly a matter of trying various fields on and seeing what you like. The main value, if folks try to put you down for considering this major, is that, unlike most college students, you will be learning how to think, as opposed to regurgitating facts and figures!
Good luck!
Philosophy Degree is a general degree which open doors, but not to a specific path.
You can walk around with a tonsure, and a toga, and muse with your other Philosopher pals, maybe start a philosophy club at the local community center. Play chess. Theorize.
As far as a career is concerned, if you get an advanced degree you can teach others to think, ponder, consider, conceptualize, think about, think over, contemplate, deliberate, wonder about, muse, brood over, mull over, medidate upon, weigh.
