What can you do with a BA in ART/minor in Biology? Any suggestions for career paths?

I love science and art. A few more classes and I could finish a BS-Biology. I like people all ages, medical field, college setting, problem solving and my interests are very broad. Could paint murals, do watercolors, pencil drawings, oil, photography, and I am great at interior decor (no formal education) Easier to state dislikes–hate doing the same thing everyday without engaging my brain. Dislike mean people, politics, lawyers, not a figure painter and not a huge fan of classical music. lol Have considered dental school, getting a masters and teaching art or art and biology… Want to make above average income( being rich would work out well but willing to compromise) , not be a starving artist or hang a worthless degree on my wall. Not getting any younger either. Anyone know how I could use my degree? I would consider opening my own business. ART is wonderful…want to do great things……need some ideas….anyone? anyone?

Become an illustrator – for medical textbooks, biology books and other education material My mother supported herself quite well for many year during the time we were developing her design company – papalotl.com and was able to balance her creativeness with the need for an income to support her art habit and raise a family

i have a friend who does medical drawings, its a job that pays pretty well, and it seems quite interesting…then you can use both degrees….

but i think you should start a medical drawing business (maybe online???) while you get your teaching cred for biology and/or art. Then you have several options and the possibility of making a descent income.

You can dislike mean people and still like law/lawyers. Are you equating the two? Anyway, I’ve known of people who pursued art therapy, including at the PhD level and with children as their patients.

you will desire to branch into philosophy of biology! this might lead you into evolutionary psychology and neurophilosophy… those fields are the main reducing fringe of the sciences/philosophy atm! They attempt to handle the biggest inner maximum questions from a organic and organic attitude. Questions like the place can we get our ethics/morals from? How can the recommendations gain understanding? How did our social instincts evolve? etc…
