What can I do with a major in Social Science and a minor in English?

Do you think that’s a good minor for that degree?

I was torn between these two majors, so I thought that I could get a little bit of both by making English my minor.

Thanks for any opinions.

I’m kind of in a similar situation as you are, and now that I am graduating I am asking myself the same question. You could go into law school if you want a higher salary, but this would require you to take the LSAT. You could also go to grad school in education to teach high school (which would require GRE). Or like the poster said you could go teach english. Teaching english in another country seems to be really popular nowadays as you don’t really need anything beyond a bachelors to do this.

I might have answered a similar question for you but….

Teaching with this particular degree would possibly guarantee you a job (anything with dual certification does). It is also an attractive major if you want to teach overseas.
