The demand for nursing is high everywhere around the globe and the demand will continue to increase as life expectancy continues to climb. As the population ages, more nursing care will be required. Taking nursing as a second course gives a person a fallback position in case very low demand for their first choice jeopardizes their employment. Nursing almost guarantees employment. In fact, if a Filipino wanted to emigrate to another more-developed country with strict limits on immigration based on obtaining an employment-related visa, nursing is the hot ticket most likely to get you anywhere, including the USA. Doctors and dentists could have yet another motive for taking up nursing as a second course–a shortage of nurses that leaves them shorthanded in their medical/dentistry practice may require them to care for their patients as both doctor/dentist and nurse until they can get more nurses hired. In hospitals, doctors with nursing credentials could take on some overtime shifts to relieve nurses who would’ve had to work the overtime. With nurse shortages being quite common, many nurses are asked or even required to work lots of overtime in hospitals. Any way you look at it, taking up nursing as a second course is a very smart move.

“that they as docs must have the means to inform a nurse the thanks to do interior the first position?” -howdy, once you have ever worked in a wellbeing center placing, you’ll keep in mind that there are diverse issues that nurses do plenty better than docs. the days even as nurses appeared as a lot as docs as gods are sooo over (properly, because the 80s this is been like this). We do our interest, they do theirs. turn off that ER episode, that crapp is misinforming. So why do docs interior the philippines pass decrease back to the bookshelves to change into nurses? by way of actual incontrovertible truth that Filipino docs (properly, maximum of them) are not any compensated sufficient for his or her paintings. They never starve or something, this is only that the status of being a wellbeing care professional interior the Philippines is gone. Now, Philippine knowledgeable nurses on the different hand have better probabilities of attending to go back and forth to the west and earn as a lot as 4-6 circumstances what a wellbeing care professional in Manila can make. interior the end, this is all about the Benjamins. i understand a Filipino health care provider who has been training for 20 years (he’s pretty a lot 50 now) in a substantial wellbeing center in Las Pinas. He too hit the books and studied to change right into a nurse… unthinkable interior united states of america of america isn’t it?

Why are so many Filipino’s taking up nursing? I believe if they take up nursing not only do the get a green card and leave a third world country, you also start off making 80,000 a year. Not only that it is very easy to get a job, especial if your family is already working at a facility. I now of many facilities that sponsor people in the Philippines.

because the US hospitals are paying their way to come over here and finish school and be nurses at US hospitals. Some of the recruits are already nurses in the Phillipines, so the hospitals are recruiting them to fill open nursing positions. I think it is really sad that the hospitals here will pay all this money to bring people over from other countries and pay for their education and often are paying their food and housing as well, when their are plenty of people already in this ocuntry who would love the same opportunity !

Simple…

Because they seek for greener pasture (and nursing can give them that…)

Nursing nowadays is in demand abroad which gives higher salaries compared in our country…(and not to mention, they pay in dollars, pounds or euro!)

Sad to say this is the second reason, if not the first why most people choose nursing…However, I do not stereotype all.. Some may have good and innocent motive why thy choose nursing as their course…

It’s a country that has lots of nursing programs, they are taught English and Hospitals is the U.S. recruit them. They are also eager to find a legitmate way out of Poverty a lot of times. It allows a means to provide for a family by sending money home.

Hmm maybe because their country is very poor and requires Doctors and Nurses, could be a government incentive to take those courses
