Nonetheless, SIU continues to provide some associates level programs, many of which have been expanded to include now bachelor’s degrees directed not only for SIU associates degree students, but transfers from other community colleges.

Otherwise, many community college vocational type programs (paralegal, secretarial skills, dental hygiene, aviation, automotive tech, etc.) would have nowhere for bachelors degrees. 4-year colleges and universities do not award associates degrees. If you want an associates, look for a local community college.
