What are my chances of getting into top teir colleges?

I am a junior, I live in northern Utah (not Mormon), I have maintained a cumulative 3.92 GPA. I have taken honors classes whenever available. Right now, I have AP Biology, AP Physics B, AP Am. History, AP Art, College credited Pre-Calculus, Honors English. I was asked to take AP Art and skip Art 2 because of one sketch I did. A 23 on the ACT (first time), although my geometry on the test was in the 99th percentile. I am in the top 14 percent of my class, I’m hoping to get under 10 percent.

You should start by learning how to spell tier. Make sure that you don’t make spelling mistakes on your applications or required essays.

Your grades are excellent, you’ve taken good courses and have great extra curricula activities. I’m very surprised with a 3.92 GPA you’re only in the top 14 percentile. Either you have a lot of very smart kids in your school, your school has excess grade inflation or there are only a handful of students to rank order you against. It would only take a class of about 30 students with 3 having a better GPA to land you in the 14-15 percentile.

That is why most top tier schools require SAT scores to be reported. You can’t fake the SAT’s. Your score is your score. If you do well on the SATs, I think that you could go to almost any top tier school.

There’s a lot of competition. You really have to kick *** at Everything. I didn’t hear about the SAT scores. Study your but off for that and retake it if you don’t get a Really good score. Don’t slack off at any time because there are a lot of people with better GPA’s than yours.

i think u stand a good chance based on the gpa that u have maintained and your academic studies.. πŸ™‚

also i think that you should send your aplications to the universities with the required documensts (transcripts, photos,etc..) as soon as they tell u and i am sure that they will accept it u..

also if u want to know what the university wants before going to it.. check their requirements and if u fit them depending on the degree that u want. then go ahead and apply! πŸ™‚ good luck!

Yes. Well. You have a really good chance, but spelling the word T-I-E-R the way you did it (“teir”) might deduct points from your overall score.

Wow!

Honors English as well as all that. Teir isn’t actually a word. Do you mean tier?
