I went to SMC, next town over, and my husband went to UVM. UVM is a great school and Burlington is a great town. I cannot more highly recommend this area. After 10 years of moving around and post grad as a teacher(: I can’t think of a better place to live and teach and i’ve in many places from coast to coast. I’m very happy to have just moved back to the area. UVM is also a very good school. And honesly as a teacher, it doesn’t matter where you go, but what you do with it and what contacts the school has in the community, and UVM has amazing contacts all over Vermont.
